Wyre Forest Real Ale Trail Returning Spring 2020

Welcome to our 2nd trail returning to Wyre Forest on 25th April 2020. Last September, our buses travelled to hand-selected Real Ale pubs and one special micro-brewery. The sun was shining, drinks were flowing, Big Red’s BBQ truck was dishing out delicious snacks. What more could you ask for? Well, this one day moving Real Ale festival is back this April, travelling to pubs dotted around Bewdley, Stourport, Kidderminster and surrounding countryside. Our shuttle buses circuit the route all day long, so there’s no need for a designated driver.

Taking the scenic route to Real Ales…

Each pub on the Trail offers at least three different Real Ales to try, with over 30 real ales from local microbreweries such as Bewdley Brewery, Brothers of Ale, Hobsons, Wye Valley just to name a few to sample on the Trail.

All aboard!

You can start and finish anywhere on the route at any time. Buses arrive every 45 minutes at each pub from 11am to 10pm. Tickets get you unlimited travel between participating pubs during the event.

You can hop on and off as many times as you like throughout the day. We don’t recommend trying to make it to every pub or you’ll spend have the day on the bus! Choose the pub you want to visit and soak the atmosphere and relax with a refreshing pint.

Tickets are £20 in advance, £22 on the day will be available from all participating pubs and online.

Frequently asked questions

How much are tickets online? £20.75 pp

What time does it start & finish? 11am to 10pm.

Where do I buy a  ticket from? Here or at your local pub.

When do I need to catch the bus? Whenever you want between 11am and 10pm. A timetable will be available, but usually every 30 to 45 minutes a bus will appear at a pub. If you want to miss it and get the next one, you can do. Just leave enough time to get to all the pubs you want to visit.

Where do I catch the bus? From all participating pubs.

What do I do when I want to go home? No problem. Jump on the bus to take you back to where you started.

Can I drink on the bus too? Nope. The bus is just for transport and singing not for drinking.

Can I go back the way I came? Err no. The bus travels in one direction only.

Shall I visit all of the pubs? We recommend picking a few pubs that strike your fancy. The trail isn’t about getting to every pub – it isn’t a pub crawl! The trail is designed for you to spend quality time in 3 or 4 pubs you may never have visited before.

What happens if a bus doesn’t come? There is always lots of buses on the route, there is always a bus. One will always turn up.

Is there a timetable? Yes on facebook and at each venue 1 week before the trail.

Can my dog come too? Umm, it’s not a great place for pooches, they are best left at home due to the number of people on the events, it can be a tad overwhelming for them.

Can my child come on the trail? No!

Who’s the trail for? The trail is designed for the more mature person who is wanting a jolly day with friends

Can I get to every pub? We don’t advise trying to reach every pub on the trail, that’s rather a full day on the bus, but rather selecting a few pubs that take your fancy.

What do I do next?

First, buy a ticket online or at any of the participating pubs on the trail. Grab some friends who are great company and make you laugh, board the bus with your ticket (singing is not compulsory but we encourage it) and prepare to enjoy a day of quaffing local ales, sampling the food and entertainment and joining in with the singing on the bus, discussing the merits of fine ale and going home happy. Don’t forget to take some pictures too!

A ticket gets you unlimited travel all day long, and if you are brave you can go around the route as many times as you like. From experience, we might add that this is unlikely!
