SNOWDONIA REAL ALE TRAIL
20th June 2020
Travelling around a large mountain in June, the Bus Based Real Ale Trail festival will take you through the stunning towns and villages of Snowdonia National Park, travelling from mountains to coast. Some say this is our most beautiful trail….but we couldn’t possibly comment. For those of you that will travel from outside Wales, Croeso i Gymru – Welcome to Wales.
You can start and finish anywhere on the route at any time. Buses arrive every 45 minutes or so at each pub from 12pm to 11pm. The Real Ale trail shuttle takes you to visit Porthmadog’s finest watering hole all the way to Criccieth, stopping off in interesting places like Ffestiniog, Talsarnau, and Tremadog along the way.
Tickets are £15 in advance, £18 on the day available from all participating pubs from May and online.

On a Trail of a good day out…
Travelling through the stunning towns and villages of Snowdonia National Park, some say the Snowdonia Real Ale Trail is the most beautiful of all our Trails. We couldn’t possibly comment!
Bussing Real Ale lovers from Llan Ffestiniog to Criccieth, stopping off in villages such as Llanfrothen, Tremadog and Talsanrau nestled in Snowdonia mountains. If you’re a fan of a good day out with good friends, locally brewed ales or smashing pubs bursting with character then this one day moving beer festival will be right up your street.
You will be taken on a journey to find quirky pubs off the beaten track in locations set in spectacular Snowdonia countryside, and it’s an Ale Trail rule that you bring along great friends to help you sample local ales, join in the entertainment and enjoy the fantastic Snowdonia hospitality.
Try over 50 Real Ales…
As ever, we promise a minimum of three real ales in each pub (with at least 50 ales on the whole Trail). Each pub on the Trail is hand selected for their selection of Real Ale and hospitality.
Supporting local microbreweries
We love microbreweries! Snowdonia has a abundance of microbreweries including the multi award-winning Purple Moose, Cwrw Llyn, award-winning Bragdy Lleu and Cwrw Cader. All of which can usually be sampled on the Trail alongside Real Ales from across Wales and the UK.
If ale isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other drinks available and lots of atmosphere to soak up as well!
