New Moving Ale Festival Comes to North Shropshire this April

Embark on a journey of ale and pub discovery, through the towns and villages dotted around the Shropshire countryside this April 27th, as Shropshire’s brand-new event called the Real Ale Trail comes to town.

A beer festival with a difference…

It’s different to the usual beer festivals as this event moves Real Ale enthusiasts, by bus, to 8 glorious independent pubs through the picturesque Shropshire countryside without any hassle of organising the driving.

Ale Trailers grab a Tickets from any participating pub or online hereThey start the trail at their nearest where you like, when you like, but make sure you do it with great friends. The ticket allows you to hop on and off as you like at all of the participating pubs between 12noon and 10pm, with buses arriving every 30 minutes at each pub. You don’t have to visit every pub and you can start any time you want; you plan your day out as you wish.

Organiser Siwan Jones says “Shropshire has some of the best pubs in the country and it was a natural choice for the event.  People want to visit interesting pubs, drink ales local ales but organising the driving is a hassle and costly; this is a great way to experience new places without this worry It’s a great day out, buses are usually full of song and laughter”.

Supporting independent businesses…

The Ale Trails Co are responsible for the event has been running roving Ale Festivals for the last 8 years with huge success over the border in Wales.  The event originally set up to support small, rural, independent pubs by driving people to off the beaten track pubs with the aim that people will like what they see and return under their own steam, worked so well the events have become a booming success. Each pub has a minimum of 3 Real Ales to choose from at the bar, with over 30 real ales to try on the day.

The trail is an event for the more ‘mature’ person and organisers ask hipsters under the age of 24 to seek other events.
