The Real Ale Trail returns to Cardiff in 2019 after a sell out April event in 2018 with a new route including great real ale pubs dotted around the Cardiff area!
Cardiff is home to an array of watering holes, traditional and trendy. If the idea of a great day out is spending time some proper pubs serving local real ale with friends – you’re in the right place!
We take you to hand-picked pubs across the Cardiff area without needing a designated driver! We take care of the transport so you can stoke up the atmosphere, real ale, food, music and hospitality.
Our dedicated bus service arrives at every venue, every 30 minutes between 12noon and 10 pm. Giving you the freedom to stay a little longer is some pubs, meet up with friends and start and finish anywhere on the route.
Like most places in the UK, Cardiff has seen a boom in microbreweries brewing small batch and unique ales. Most of these microbrewery ales can only be found in pubs local to the brewery. With a minimum of 3 real ales being served in each pub on the Trail, it’s a great opportunity to sample local ales, as well as enjoying a day out with friends.
