Next stop… Shropshire! Award-winning bus based Real Ale Festival comes to Shropshire this April!

An award-winning moving festival featuring beer and more beer — probably with a little bus ride in between is coming next April to Shrewsbury and surrounding villages. We take you off the beaten track to rural pubs to sample unique regional Real Ales with unlimited transport around the Shropshire countryside on 27th April 2019.

How does it work?

Spend the day with friends visiting hand-picked rural Real Ale pubs. Every half an hour or so, a bus will appear at each pub on the trail to transport festival-goers to the next pub on the route.

Tickets get you unlimited travel between 12noon and 10 pm, so Real Ale lovers can visit as many or as few pubs as they like throughout the day and stay at each one for as long as you wish. You can also start and finish anywhere along the route.

Tickets will be available online and from all participating pubs soon!

Unique Real Ales…

A recent boom in microbreweries means there’s more choice than ever for Real Ale enthusiasts! However, most microbreweries are small businesses and struggle with distribution, Shropshire Real Ale Trail gives you the opportunity to sample these regional ales. Each pub on the Trail has a minimum of 3 Real Ales to sample, with over 50 Real Ales to sample on the day, most of which have been brewed locally.

Bottoms up!

Real Ale, Pubs, Music, Food and of course a few Buses.

Recipe for a great day out, right?

Well yes! But don’t just take out word for it…

“What a brilliant day. Never been on an ale trail before but will definitely be an annual event for us and our friends! Majority of the pubs really went to great effort with ales, music/bands/DJs and food etc. Well done to all involved in making this event so fantastic!” Ann Egan, after attending Conwy Real Ale Trail

“Had a brilliant time. There was a great atmosphere on all of the buses, with no waiting around. The bus would turn up outside the bus, finish pints, jump on and on to the next pub, chatting and singing along the way. Will definitely be going to the next one!” Ryan Davidson attended Cowy Real Ale Trail

“Superb day. Buses were spot on and pubs were cracking. Good selection of ales in each pub. Can’t wait for the next one.” Chris Kokkinos attended Vale of Glamorgan Real Ale Trail

“Our group had a brilliant day. Visited some nice pubs had never visited before. Well organised and will definitely be keeping an eye out for the next one” Claire Price, after a day out on Wrexham Real Ale Trail
